The Language of Flora and Fauna, Postcard, 2021

In Japan, there is a word 'soumoku gengo' meaning the language of flora and fauna, which is known to be the origin of Japanese onomatopoeia - a bridge between the world of humans and of natural species. Through this work, I seek to hear people's ideas, folklore, wisdom, and traditional memories about how to understand the voice of nature.
